Collection: Antti Rautiola
Antti Rautiola (b.1976) is a Finnish artist who started painting before the age of ten when he received an oil painting set as a gift from his grandparents. He has had mentors from Florence Acadamy, Russian school of painting and also from the animation industry, where he is also actively working as computer-graphics supervisor. Being an enthusiastic landscape painter he has been keeping plein air workshops in the Europe´s biggest landscape painting festival in Ireland "Art In The Open". Besides Plein air landscapes, his favorite subjects are figurative paintings of children.
Antti describes himself as an impressionistic realist.
He is inspired by the works of artists of the 19th century such as fellow Finns Albert Edelfelt, Helene Schjerfbeck and their contemporaries, the American John S. Sargent, Russian Isaak Levitan and Swedish Anders Zorn.
