In this print, Goya openly criticizes the prostitution to which, on many occasions, the young women resorted to the advice of people who were part of their own environment who gave them beautiful advice . Likewise, prostitution was a matter of concern in enlightened circles since, after the closure of brothels in the 17th century due to diseases that came from America, prostitutes practiced their profession in the street, without any type of protection. or control. This is one of the reasons that increased insecurity in many of the streets of the capital.
